General Practice Nurse Fellowships now available
NHSE/I New to Practice Fellowship funding is now available for all newly-qualified (since December 2019) general practice nurses working in the Black Country & West Birmingham. In year one of the Fellowship, this will provide funding to enable access to the Fundamentals of General Practice Nursing course at a local university and backfill for clinical supervision. This is available to nurses commencing the course from January 2021 and any new nurses recruited into practice. Fellows will also have access to our Nurse Education Forums and GPN Peer Mentoring. Fundamentals+ for General Practice Nurses
As part of the NHS England GPN Fellowship programme, a new course has been developed in partnership with Birmingham City University and the University of Wolverhampton. Fundamentals+ will further your understanding of the organisational and strategic issues facing general practice and develop your knowledge and skills in a range of key areas:
• Population health
• Quality and innovation
• Business planning
• Clinical supervision and coaching
• Professional and career development
• Public health
All GPNs in their second year onwards are invited to express an interest. The course will run from March 2021 onwards and is fully funded, however places are limited. Please cick here to see the attached flyer for further details.
