Launch of Community Health & Wellbeing Worker apprenticeship standard
2021-08-23

Community Health and Wellbeing Workers are a rapidly expanding workforce supporting the increasing emphasis across government departments on improving the health of local people and communities by preventing poor health and tackling inequalities. Black Country and West Birmingham Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub
2021-07-01

The Covid-19 pandemic has presented increasing challenges to staff across the NHS, primary care, community services, and social care – and this is taking its toll on our mental wellbeing. It's more important than ever that we look after ourselves, stay connected, and keep the conversation going about how we are feeling and how these circumstances are affecting us.

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT) has set up a Black Country and West Birmingham Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, to provide an entry point into mental health talking therapies and support for colleagues across the Black Country and West Birmingham Integrated Care System (ICS).

Physician Associate Placements for Students
2021-01-17

The Physician Associate (PA) course at the University of Birmingham is currently looking for GP practices to provide PA placements for their students.

As well as providing teaching to the students, this is a great opportunity for practices to obtain a greater understanding of the PA role and how this can be integrated into your clinical workforce. Alternatively, if you have a PA currently employed in your PCN, this is a good opportunity for them to be involved in teaching and mentoring.
