Coming Soon: Practice Manager Peer Mentoring
The Black Country and West Birmingham Training Hub recognise the vital role that Practice Managers play in supporting and contributing to the delivery of our Primary Care Services.
Practice Managers are working extremely hard to support their practices through an ever changing environment, which can bring many different opportunities and day to day challenges. Practice Managers will be balancing a range of emotions, practice issues and often do not have time to reflect on their own personal issues, development needs or have the support to discuss practice issues or concerns.
Therefore the Black Country and West Birmingham Training Hub are currently developing a Practice Manager Peer Mentoring Scheme to support the development and wellbeing of the Practice Managers across the Black Country and West Birmingham area.
It is envisaged that the Training Hub will have a number of Practice Manager Mentors, that Practice Managers and Assistant Practice Managers can access for free confidential advice and support. The scheme proposes that each mentor will offer 2 hour sessions, with each mentee accessing up to three sessions.
The project seeks to offer Peer Support for Practice Managers to solve problems and discuss career opportunities in a non-judgmental, confidential environment. This may include exploration of development opportunities, preventing burn-out, quality improvement or other areas requiring support.
